Sansiri Building In Thong Lo

From The Bangkokpost 23 May 2007

The listed developer Sansiri Plc will launch its three-billion-baht luxury condominium project, Siri at Sukhumvit by Sansiri, in the Thong Lo area, according to president Srettha Thavisin.

The 34-storey building, situated on an almost four-rai plot about 150 metres away from the Thong Lo BTS station, will house 460 residential units sized between about 50 and 112 square metres at prices starting from five million baht a unit.

The company will hold a grand opening early next month and plans to complete construction by September 2009.

Sansiri has slowed the launch of its high-rise projects over the past two years. However, its subsidiary, Plus Property, has launched several mid-priced condominiums.

Mr Srettha said the company was now focusing on completing construction on all projects that it had sold earlier since there was no suitable land for premium condominiums.

Over the past two decades, Sansiri has developed more than 20 premium condominiums with 2,500 residential units worth almost 17 billion baht, or around 30% of the total market share.

Of these units, more than 90% are premium developments in Bangkok's prime areas such as Silom, Sathorn, Ratchadamri, Ruam Rudi, Sukhumvit and Thong Lo.
