Anantara Resort Koh Samui new General Manager


Anantara Resorts Samui has announced the appointment of Bodo Klingenberg as the General Manager of its 106-room property, Anantara Resort Koh Samui.

Klingenberg, a German native, commenced his career in Europe in Sales and Marketing roles with the Savoy Group and the renowned minimalist hotel, The Hempel, before taking on the General Manager position at the prestigious Lucknam Park Country House Hotel. He went on to oversee Babington House private members club and hotel as General Manager prior to moving to Asia to take up a management role with the Banyan Tree Phuket.

Over the course of his 23-year career, Bodo Klingenberg had been instrumental in developing and executing numerous major projects while helming key positions in both hotel and resort operations around Asia-Pacific and Europe. Prior to joining Anantara Resorts, he was the Area General Manager for Banyan Tree Resorts, Maldives.

Opened in November 2004 on the Thai island of Koh Samui, the Anantara is a boutique-sized resort of just 106 rooms and suites, all of which look out over the azure-waters and white sands of Bophut Bay towards the island of Koh Phangan. Anantara Resort, set on 11 acres of beachfront land next to the laid-back haven of Fisherman’s Village on the north coast of Samui is less than 10-minutes’ drive from the airport.
