Real efficiency - CBRE

CB Richard Ellis Group, an international commercial real-estate company, yesterday announced a goal to become "carbon neutral" by 2010 and a plan to assist clients with energy-efficiency programmes at the 158 million square metres of building space that the firm manages around the world.

This represents the first time a major commercial real-estate services firm has announced plans to go carbon-neutral.

The company also said it is working closely with the Natural Resources Defence Council to introduce new energy-saving measures at client-owned and client-occupied properties.
